With the rise of COVID-19 cases and less than a quarter of the population getting fully vaccinated, Bighnaharta Nepal, came up with the project Operation Sanjeevani-Unity for COVID-19 Awareness and Preparedness. Reaching out to the vulnerable population of areas including Mugu, Jumla, Kailali, and Accham, the organization aims in providing an effective response to the pandemic in the following months.
With the third wave of COVID-19 soon to hit Nepal, and more than half the population not vaccinated, the country is soon to face more dangers than it has ever before. While getting vaccinated is the optimal solution, making people aware and prepared about the virus and its dangers is equally important.
Keeping that in mind, Bighnaharta came up with the project named Operation Sanjeevani - Unity for COVID-19 Awareness and Preparedness. During the initial stages, the team will be reaching out to the most vulnerable population of Jumla, Mugu, Kailali, and Accham. Working closely with Local Governments, District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC), and health post, Bighnaharta Nepal aims to provide a more effective response to the pandemic in the upcoming months.
