The flood of June 2021 caused havoc in Melamchi and Helambu Municipalities destroying the human settlements, agricultural lands, and river-based livelihoods. With households being damaged and displaced, Bighnaharta Nepal identified that Shree Terse Secondary School situated in Talamarang, Helambu was at high risk and required immediate attention.
In collaboration with Quick Response Center and with the support of HLE Nepal, the installation of the Gabion Wall was initiated for Shree Terse Secondary School located in the riverbank area of Talamarang, Helambu. The installation not only protected the school but also ensured a safe learning environment for the students.
