Trek for Climate Action- I

The 6-day trekking event to Tsho-Rolpa was certainly an experience that we will cherish forever. With a total of 13 participants including the organizing committee, we were able to successfully carry out the first edition of our knowledge-based travel.

During the course of the trek, we got the opportunity to learn, experience, and discover the way of living of the locals of the Rolwaling Valley as well as the positive and negative effects of climate change in that area. Having to walk for hours in the cold and dark was certainly a challenge but with the constant support and motivation from each team member, we were able to not only reach the top but also build a strong bond with one another.

We are glad to build this consortium and have plans on further discussing the issues and possible solutions. Bighnaharta Nepal would like to thank all our fellow participants who joined us on this journey and helped us in making this event successful!
